I would like to take a few minutes of your time to share some of our special moments from the Southside Public Speaking Contest II held on September 22, 2010 at the Campostella Community Center. It was a great night for our public speaking contest concept, we had 31 participants. The topic was “Peace” and these kids were outstanding. We awarded $200 in cash prizes and certificates to all the participants. Darcy Caja won first place. Her essay is below.
This is our second Southside Public Speaking Contest. Our goal is to have a public speaking contest every three months and give cash prizes to the top five winners and certificates. This is GREAT!!!!!!! Help us grow the Southside Public Speaking Contest concept with a donation or sponsorship for our upcoming contests. We are planning on having our next contest in January, 2011.
